Controlled Atmosphere Pit Type Carburizing Production Line Equipment

1. Overview of the production line
This series of production lines is mainly composed of carburizing furnace main furnace, quenching oil tank, cleaning machine, high temperature and low temperature tempering furnace, quenching water tank, slow cooling furnace, loading and unloading tongs, tooling, automatic control and process simulation system. It is suitable for the carburizing process of typical materials such as low carbon steel and alloy steel, as well as the process of quenching and tempering and protective atmosphere quenching of medium carbon steel. It is widely used in mechanical parts of aircraft, automobiles, tractors, construction machinery, etc., such as gears, shafts, bearings, camshafts and other common industrial parts.

2. Production line requirements and process flow
The production line has various forms such as well-type furnace, horizontal multi-purpose furnace, etc., and various process distribution forms such as drip-injection atmosphere, endothermic atmosphere (Rx), nitrogen methanol atmosphere, and furnace atmosphere can be used.

Typical part process flow: the charging position is in place, the material is loaded into the furnace (automatic or manual), the carburizing process begins, the carburizing process ends, the furnace is released to the quenching tank, and the quenching tank is quenched. Once the furnace is tempered (or slowly cooled) to the unloading position, the parts will be unloaded.

3. Characteristics of the whole process of carburizing equipment
3.1 Temperature control: The temperature control adopts a closed-loop control method, which adopts the main control in the tank, the auxiliary control outside the tank, and the furnace temperature control method of internal and external monitoring. The main control temperature in the tank accurately reflects and controls the furnace gas temperature in the effective working area of ​​the workpiece carburizing in the furnace body.

3.2 Carbon potential control: Two sets of control systems and four control methods are used. The carbon potential data of the two control systems are displayed in the integrated program controller at the same time, one of which is the main control and the other is monitored and switched to each other to ensure the reliability of carbon control in deep penetration layers and long process periods. By switching, two sets of carbon potential control systems can easily realize four carbon potential control modes: measurement, control, monitoring, O2, CO2, O2+CO, CO2+CO, which effectively ensures the reliability of deep carburizing.

3.3 Carbon potential process simulation: Provide process simulation platform for process engineers. Process engineers can simulate the process or create a new process, select the steel type, material shape, and target layer depth by inputting the software to automatically calculate the reference carbon concentration and perform process simulation.
